Gnome house ... for rent :)

Good morning everyone :)

( It is a very chilly one in Chicago area :( )

My whole life I wanted to have a small house with a big yard full of huge, old trees ...
They give you perfect shade in a hot summer afternoon so you can read a book sipping cold lemonade or have a nap in a comfy hummock ...

Finally, my dream comes true !!!

We bought a house with a lot of old, beautiful trees in a front and back yard ...
believe me, I couldn't be happier ...
It was February when we moved in, so we didn't notice that two of those beauties were dead :(
They were very close to the house, so for safety reasons, we had to cut them down :(

I was devastated !!! until I found on Pinterest ( and I have to admit - I am addicted to it !!! ) the cutest picture of a little gnome house made out of an old tree trunk ...

We ( that means my hubby and I :) ) fell in love with that idea ...
So we decided to do something similar ...
and that's what we have now in our front yard, right in front of our bedroom window :)

This cute little house causes a significant traffic on our street, but the funniest part is to watch from my couch people suddenly stopping their car when they notice the house, rushing through the grass to take a picture of it ... :) and then they are even more surprised when they notice that there are two sides of the house, one slightly different from another ...
My husband calls it duplex :)

I need to finish it with only one more thing - sign

FOR RENT!

I hope you like our little project :)

Have a nice Monday friends :)

See you soon !
